Slate.
- In this country slate is mainly known from the houses and roofs you find in the Ardennes.
- However, there are different kinds of slate, depending on the kind of clay the stone was formed from.
- Slate is strikingly layered. By its nature the stone can be rough to virtually smooth. It is generally used without further working of the surface.
- Exceptional cleavability is a unique feature of this natural stone.
- Frost resistance and hardness are dependent on the original type of clay.
- Slate is water and fade resistant. But you will never tire of it.
- Slate is used for indoor and outdoor floors, garden tables, wall claddings, or as roof slates.
